  1. What is your Meyer-Briggs personality type?
    INFP
  2. What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, of which the first fourteen pages have been quite good.
  3. What is your favourite movie?
    Say Anything.
  4. What is your favourite colour?
    Cream.
  5. What is your favourite children’s book?
The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne
  6. What is the longest you have gone without sleep?
36 hours, give or take. On the way here, my two flights (neither of which I slept on, despite sincere efforts), seven hour layover, train ride to Stratford and settling in to a new flat made for a busy day. I do believe I may have dozed on the train, so maybe this doesn’t even count.
  7. What is something you can never seem to finish?
I really like open ended things, so there are a lot of books that I’ve started reading and then intentionally stopped just to enjoy the extent of possibility and ambiguity.
  8. What are some of your favourite words?
Mellifluous, succinct, “rather” but only when used in accordance with the definition “to a certain or significant extent or degree”, like “that’s rather odd”. I also love palindromes, but I think I like them better in numbers than in words. I get really excited when the time is a palindrome (10:01, 12:21…not 11:11 because there has to be some variation otherwise it isn’t as interesting).
  9. What is something you hate, but you wish you loved?
    Cucumbers.
  10. What is your favourite thing about England?
I find it difficult to narrow it down to just one thing, because I’ve been dreaming of living here for my entire life and already my experience has exceeded my expectations. But, I really do love the hill country and the woods around this area. There are endless different hues of green, and the air feels so clean and all around me everything is full of life, and it’s quite a dream to just get away from everything and enjoy vast, untouched nature.

  2. What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, of which the first 89 pages have been quite good.
  3. What is your favourite colour?
Blue. I like aqua blue and cerulean.
  4. What was your favourite book as a child?
My parents tell me it was The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss. Not sure why. “Left foot, left foot, left foot, right. Feet in the morning. Feet at night.” There wasn’t even a story line. You’ve got to love Dr. Seuss though.
  5. What song title describes your life?
She’s American (The 1975). I love America. I will always love America. Our country has serious problems, but I will happily stay there and die with it.
  6. Which Hogwarts/Ilvermorny House are you in?
I am a Gryffindor or a Ravenclaw. I’ve taken the test twice, but I was originally sorted into Gryffindor, so that’s the one I typically go with. As for my Ilvermorny House, I have consistently been sorted into Thunderbird.
  7. What irrational fear do you have?
Ladybugs freak me out. I used to love ladybugs as a kid, but then I was bitten by an Asian lady beetle, which looks like a ladybug. It has scarred me for life.
  8. Where are you from (extended edition)?
I was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and have lived in Mexico, New York, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin. Massachusetts and Wisconsin are where I have lived the longest. My family recently moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, so that is home now. As for where I’m “from”, I am half-Peruvian.
  9. What are some of your favourite foods/snacks that England offers?
Sticky toffee pudding is phenomenal. I also like Digestives (which are a kind of cookie here) and digestive bites. The caramel kind is the best in my opinion.
  10. What is your favourite thing about England?
This one is hard. I think England is beautiful, and I love how green it is. Everything feels really alive here. I love the trees and the flowers people have in front of their houses as well as the architecture. It’s a lovely place to be.

  4. What is your favourite colour?
Green. Specifically sea foam green but all greens are good.
  5. What is your favourite children’s book?
Diary of a Wombat by Jackie French. For those who haven’t been blessed by this book, it’s about a wombat who just really wants some carrots from his human neighbours and will stop at nothing to get some.
  6. What song title describes your life?
A Complete History of the Soviet Union Through the Eyes of a Humble Worker, Arranged to the Melody of Tetris.
  7. What is your Hogwarts/Ilvermorny House?

  8. What was your dream job as a child?
A bank teller. I really wanted to get to push that button on the vacuum tube and give kids candy.

  10. What is your favourite thing about England?
Green. I like that it’s green. I also like the architecture. Even the regular houses are fun to look at.
